Verses
Beforehand Symeon you inhabited the land of Wondrous Mountain,
Now you dwell on the all-wondrous mountain in the heavens.
On the twenty-fourth Symeon you entered where noetic beings are all around.

Saint Iakovos Tsalikis of Euboea

A mother would take her physically ill child, go to the Monastery of St. Iakovos and sweep the yard. Two ladies were gossiping about her.
The Saint caught their thoughts and their conversation, deliberately passed by them and said: “Do you see this aching Mother? This Mother because she has great faith in Christ and endures the problem of her child, this Mother will go to the place of the Martyrs and will rejoice forever!

Pavel of Serbia

Before you start judging me and my life, put my shoes on and go my way! Walk through the streets, hills and valleys! Feel the pain and happiness! Pass the years through which I’m passing, fall over every stone I found on the road! Get up and again keep going in the same way, like I am! And then you can judge me.

Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica

When we feel overwhelmed by difficult thoughts, if we have the ability to confide our thoughts to a person who thinks the same as we do, then that is a confession. Then the Lord comes and comforts us through this man who agrees with us.

It goes without saying that the Lord comforts us every moment, even when we are alone and do not have a good Christian by our side. But because we are often confused and unable to comprehend the presence of the Lord, it is good to have a good Christian by our side who thinks like us. The Lord is meek and quiet, his voice is not noisy, but quiet and humble and we, because we are troubled, can not hear it.

But one moment we have one thought and the next moment we have another thought and so on. That is why we can seldom hear the quiet, quiet, divine voice.

If we then strive to do good deeds, we strive to be good, the Lord visits us and frees us from the tyranny of difficult thoughts. He frees us from the storm of thoughts. Then quiet thoughts come to us. Then we hear the voice of the Lord clearly and we feel indescribable joy!

St. Paisios the Athonite

In the old days, when there was a fighting spirit and everyone was trying to measure up to the best, evil and negligence would not be tolerated. Good was in great supply back then, and with this competitive spirit, it was difficult for careless people to make it to the finish line. The others would run them over. I remember once, in Thessaloniki, we were waiting for the traffic light to cross the street, when I suddenly felt pushed by the crowd behind me, as if by a wave. I only had to lift my foot and the rest was done for me. All I am trying to say is that when everybody is going toward the same direction, those who don’t wish to follow will have difficulty resisting because the others will push them along.

People of the XXI century will be saved and even acquire holiness for three obediences:
for keeping the Orthodox faith and transmitting it to others, primarily to their children and grandchildren; for daily repentance and for regular participation in the Sacraments of the Church.

If the world does not a saint produce, the world, a fig tree is without fruit and worth, a dead barren tree! Glory to wonderful Simeon, of the Wonderful Mountain. Saint Nikolai Velimirovič

Troparion of St Symeon the Stylite the Younger of the Wondrous Mountain, in Tone I:

A desert dweller, an angel in the flesh and a wonder-worker * wast thou revealed to be, O our God-bearing father Symeon. * Receiving heavenly gifts through fasting, vigils and prayers, * thou healest the infirm and the souls of those who with faith have recourse unto thee. * Glory to Him Who hath given thee strength! * Glory to Him Who hath crowned thee! ** Glory to Him Who through thee worketh healings for all!

Troparion of St Symeon the Stylite the Younger of the Wondrous Mountain Tone 1

Thou didst shine from the wondrous mountain/ as a lamp of the gifts of asceticism./ Thy pillar has become a ladder from earth to heaven/ for those who hasten to thy fold, O wonderworking Symeon./ Glory to Him Who has strengthened thee; glory to Him Who has crowned thee;/ glory to Him Who through thee works healings for all.

Troparion of St Symeon the Stylite the Younger of the Wondrous Mountain Tone 1

Dweller of the desert and angel in the body, / you were shown to be a wonder-worker, our God-bearing Father Simeon. / You received heavenly gifts through fasting, vigil, and prayer: / healing the sick and the souls of those drawn to you by faith. / Glory to Him who gave you strength! / Glory to Him who granted you a crown! / Glory to Him who through you grants healing to all!

Troparion of St Nicetas the Stylite Tone 4

O Nicetas, thou didst despise the lusts of youth with true discernment./ In thy courageous life thou didst defeat the enemy and wast pleasing to God in thy prudence./ Thou hast received the gift of wonderworking/ and dost cast out demons and healest infirmities./ Entreat Christ our God to save our souls.

Apolytikion of St Vincent of Lerins Tone 4

With wisdom hast thou made plain to all the Orthodox faith as that which alone hath been believed and honored by all men, always and everywhere, also showing heresy to be innovation, groundless and unstable as a gust in a tempest. O Vincent, thine invincible prayers shelter the Church of God.

Both now. For the Myrrhbearers. From Pentecostarion
Mode 2.

The Angel who had come to the sepulcher said to the Myrrh-bearing women, “Ointments are appropriate for mortal men; but Christ is indeed a stranger to decay. Now go proclaim that the Lord has risen and granted to the world the great mercy.”

Exapostilarion, Special Melody: “O Immutable One …”:

Shining forth from the desert, thou dost illumine the whole world, and the multitudes of monks rejoice in thy memory. O God-bearing Symeon, cease thou never to pray for the world.
